Brandon Anderson founded Raheem AI, the world's first police accountability platform, after losing his lifetime partner to police violence.
He is motivated by a desire to improve the quality of life for minority families and other victims of systemic discrimination. It was during his service in the U.S. Army as a satellite engineer that he began using technology as a problem-solving tool.
Following the loss of his partner to police violence and realizing his own risk of victimization as a Black man, Anderson recognized an opportunity to integrate his skills with his commitment to the pursuit of justice.
Anderson holds a degree in Sociology from Georgetown University, is a Smithsonian American Ingenuity Award Nominee and was named one of 100 Black LGBTQ Leaders to Watch by the National Black Justice Coalition.
Venture: Raheem AI is a Facebook Messenger Chatbot that listens to your stories about police interactions — positive and negative. The data is visualized in real-time through an online, interactive Community Dashboard shared with city governments, local police and your community. The Chatbot provides a fast, free and anonymous way to give feedback about your experiences with police, creating a more effective feedback loop between police and your community.
