The Halcyon Awards recognize and honor talented arts icons, successful entrepreneurs and public policy visionaries; change makers and trailblazers who’ve dedicated their lives to push past traditional boundaries and limitations to create a movement, lead an organization, or impact the world.

Previously The Washington Awards Gala, the 2017 inaugural Halcyon Awards Gala promises to be one of the most innovative annual events in the D.C. area. This special evening celebrates the most recently named Halcyon Awards winners with a program for guests, which includes world-class dining, an exciting auction, incredible performances, and lots of fun at the Fillmore School in Georgetown.

New For 2017

The 2017 Halcyon Awards Gala will debut a set of awards that reflect the range of groundbreaking work Halcyon supports:

  • Arts Icon Award spotlighting an icon of artistic and social impact 
  • Business Luminary Award honoring a global pioneer in social enterprise
  • Policy Visionary Award celebrating innovators in public policy 

We are honored and thrilled to announce Chef José Andrés as the inaugrual Arts Icon awardee, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, co-founders of Ben&Jerry's Homemade, Inc., as the inaugural Business Luminary awardees, and Congressman John Delaney as the inaugural Policy Visionary awardee! 

These awards are just one of the many ways in which we are gathering the top minds in innovation, social enterprise and the arts for an unforgettable evening.
