Matthew Indre, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Total Wine & More

Matthew Indre is Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Total Wine & More, the nation’s largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer, and spirits. Matthew oversees all of Total Wine & More’s community outreach, corporate philanthropy (which in 2021 included over $8M in monetary and in-kind donations to 13,000+ nonprofit organizations across the nation), and corporate social responsibility efforts. He serves as an industry thought-leader around creating successful social responsibility programs for stakeholders which focus on reducing harmful drinking, promote responsible consumption, and the use of a designated driver. Prior to joining Total Wine & More in 2006, Matthew worked for the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner) in account management, cultivating relationships with C-level and senior executives of Forbes Global 2000 companies.

Matthew grew up in Naperville, IL, a Chicago suburb, and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Matthew resides in Washington, DC and is married with two girls (ages 7 & 2). Matthew currently serves on Sibley Memorial Hospital’s (Washington, DC) Young Professional Board of Trustees and is Chairman of Community Involvement. Matthew has helped raise money to build a pediatric oncology waiting room at Sibley, and fund cutting-edge proton radiation therapy for children with cancer. Also, Matthew served as Fundraising Chair for Creative Minds International Public Charter School (Washington, DC) raising over $250,000 from the community to build a green-friendly outdoor play space on the school’s campus at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Matthew enjoys time with his family, traveling, and every once in a while a good gin & tonic.
