Brenda is a talented business executive with experience operating from the stock room to the board room. She adds significant value to the Halcyon Incubator and Arts Lab teams by supporting the Fellows and programming events. Brenda also manages the Fast Forward event series, featuring the voices of visionary and disruptive women leaders.
Prior to Halcyon, Brenda provided strategic leadership to Ralph Lauren throughout Europe as vice president of retail development, including brand positioning, shop-in-shop roll out programs, visual merchandising and Pan European team development. Additionally, she managed the wholesale operations of creative services, store planning, and retail development departments. Brenda successfully achieved international growth through coordination of all internal departments combined with external relationship development.
Brenda taught international marketing at Sciences Politique. For the past decade, she has acted as an independent consultant for international branding to niche luxury brands and artists. In this capacity, she has also developed a specialty in social entrepreneurship in the areas of education and the arts.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Brenda Bertholf has lived in Paris since 1991. She now splits her time between Paris and DC.
