Brian is a passionate technology entrepreneur who has spent the last 6 years building pro-poor tech-enabled solutions and businesses. Prior to co-founding Kaaro Health, Brian founded KS Power which pioneered metered and mobile payments enabled solar energy systems for rural Uganda. He was also part of the developed the first Windows-powered device to help rural clinicians listen for the vital signs of a baby in a mother’s abdomen.
Brian studied business computing and information technology at Muteesa I Royal University in Kampala, Uganda. He enjoys playing beta-testing and playing video games in his free time.
Venture: Kaaro Health was founded with the mission to deliver good health care to people regardless of where they live. In pursuing this mission, Kaaro Health deliberately targets underserved, rural, hard-to-reach populations in Uganda using their energy-autonomous clinic-in-a-box system through which doctors provide remote medical consultations to patients and mentorship to clinicians.
