The Festival hubs are the main locations for By The People, each with their own set of installations and pop-up performances. Satelitte locations are other sites finding their own ways to participate in By The People, including workshops and special exhibits. One-time event locations are places where just one By The People event will take place - they aren't places that will offer programming throughout the festival.

In addition to the festival hubs and satelltite locations, don't miss the Smithsonian's extended evening hours on June 23. Participating locations include the: Anacostia Community Museum; Freer and Sackler Galleries; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; National Air and Space Museum; National Museum of African American History and Culture; National Museum of African Art; National Museum of American History; National Museum of the American Indian; National Portrait Gallery; National Zoological Park; Smithsonian American Art Museum; Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building.
