Courtney Straus is a Managing Director at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Washington, D.C. As a senior banker with 21 years in the industry, Ms. Straus is responsible for developing and managing private banking client relationships for the Washington, D.C. office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. As such, Ms. Straus provides strategic advice and consultation to high net worth individuals, families, foundations and endowments, while coordinating access to internal specialists and external client advisors.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Straus specialized in managing investment portfolios for endowments, foundations, and high net worth individuals for 17 years. She joined the firm in 1998 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining JPMorgan, she was a portfolio manager for six years at several boutique investment firms in the Northeast, Johnston, Lemon & Co. and Compu-Val Investments.
Ms. Straus graduated cum laude in Economics and French from Centenary College of Louisiana. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Wake Forest University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and also serves on the board of the Middleburg Film Festival and is an advisor to the Board of Venture Philanthropy Partners.
