Faran Negarestan is the Director of Engineering at MemoryWell. Previously, he worked as a senior software engineer at the Advisory Board Company and has developed technology solutions in health care and higher education domains. Faran immigrated to the United States as a refugee from his homeland, Iran, where he faced persecution and adversity. He holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and is pursuing a M.S. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign through distance education. Faran has over ten years of industry experience in diverse domains with multiple technology stacks. As an immigrant, Faran is very grateful for the opportunities he has been given in this country and is passionate about “sending the elevator back down” for others who need a lift up.
