Marion Colomer is a Halcyon Fellow from the 2016 Studios Program. Her paintings, sketches, and embroidery including ‘Honey, What’s For Dinner?’ rooted in questions of intimacy and sensuality, were included in the Ward 12 Exhibition at Halcyon House in December 2016.
Marion is a French artist working in Washington, D.C. She studied painting in Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, and was working in India for seven years. There she developed a technique of embroideries stitched on her paintings, collaborating with Indian craftsmen. Her attempt was to create an atmosphere and immerse the viewer in an organic painting in constant evolution
