Nancy Beer is an executive leadership coach, a business strategist, and a change leader specializing in business strategy, innovation, and organizational and leadership growth. Nancy’s career began on Wall Street as an investment banker and financial advisor. She has held a number of leadership positions over the course of her 25+ years in business including her most recent role as Managing Director of Mobius Executive Leadership, a boutique global leadership training and coaching firm in Boston. Nancy’s mandate was to take the 10-year old firm built by its founder to the next level, Mobius 2.0. Through trust, vision and her high impact leadership skills, Nancy was able to make significant structural changes to enable its stable foundation of clients and employees to thrive and have an improved client experience. Internally, she instituted new financial processes, doubled the staff, and created a culture that reflected the best practices taught to clients. She also led the way for Mobius’ launch of the Next Practice Institute, an annual program for leadership practitioners.
Prior to her work at Mobius, where she still holds an Advisory role, Nancy ran the custom Executive Education service line for Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. Her impact there included growing the revenue base of custom programs by 300%. In addition to business development and client management, Nancy was responsible for marketing. Amongst her accomplishments there, she created a campaign known as “World Class” and a Thought Leadership initiative known as Executive Wisdom. She also led the successful efforts to get Georgetown ranked in the top 20 custom program providers in the Financial Times.
While at Georgetown, Nancy also received her certification as an Executive Leadership coach. She has been coaching clients for over 5 years.
Nancy’s approach to clients is informed by her own first-hand experience in high growth organizations, training in adult development theory, and by vast insights garnered from past client engagements. Her services are tailored to the needs and aspirations of each client and use the “appreciative inquiry” process designed to engage stakeholders in self-determined change. Nancy’s client engagements result in greater self-awareness, more productive and positive relationships with others, and a clear path toward achieving each and every goal established from the onset of every engagement.
Nancy’s coaching clients have included a range of executives and managers from diverse and dynamic companies including Google, McKinsey, Bloomberg, Fitbit, Blackrock, Oscar Health and ADP.
In her spare time, Nancy has a side hustle as a blogger, is a brand ambassador for an Italian designer, loves to work out, travel and read.
Nancy earned her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
