Event Information

At the Washington National Cathedral Nick Cave debuts an "Untitled" video projection work on love and faith.

At THEARC West, Nick Cave's large-scale video installation "Drive-By" features numerous suited dancers energetically moving and interacting like otherworldly creatures in a jovial ceremony. 

 

Nick Cave is a messenger, artist and educator working between the visual and performing arts through a wide range of mediums inclusive of sculpture, installation, video, sound and performance. He has been described as a Renaissance artist and says of himself "I have found my middle and now ... working toward what I am leaving behind."

Nick received a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1982 and continued his graduate studies at North Texas State University. In 1989, Nick received his MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Nick is a professor in the Fashion Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is represented by Jack Shainmann Gallery, New York.
